A Case of Lupus Vulgaris Originating from the Apex of the Nose

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of lupus vulgaris originated from the apex of the nose was reported and the concerned literatures were also reviewed.
The patient was 14-year-old girl and had the skin lesions of the dilated vessels and hypertrophied yellow-brown colored abnormal tissues which extending to the apex of the nose and nostril over 10 months duration.
These skin lesions were gradually ulcerated and crusted with progressively mild atresia of the left nostril.
The diagnosis of lupus vulgaris has been proved by histopathologically and bacteriologically and started with the antituberculous therapy which resulted in almost complete healing of the ulcer, clinically, within a month.
